ADAM DEWEBER

An Okie by birth, a Buckeye by nurture, and a Hoosier by marriage, Adam deWeber loves living in Bloomington with his wife and three daughters. He enjoys all the cultural, cuisine, and sporting benefits of living in a great university town, and he loves participating in the burgeoning songwriting scene here. He credits becoming involved with Cosmic Songwriter as being pivotal in his development and growth as a songwriter.

Adam writes songs mostly for the benefit of having something to play and sing on his couch in the evenings. He pulls inspiration from his personal experiences, as well as from observations of the experiences of others around him. His style can be described as "Singer-songwriter, with Attention-Deficit-Disorder," and has been influenced by such a motley crew of artists as The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Foo Fighters, Emmylou Harris, Marvin Gaye, Brandi Carlile, Counting Crows, The Eagles, Chris Carrabba, John Prine, Ray Charles, David Crowder, Eminem, Jim Croce, and so on. He leads singing at his church weekly, sometimes leading songs he has written specifically for the church. And he always reveres the opportunity to perform his original art for real-live people who aren't plants in his living room.
